The gel cream is a little thicker than the emulsion.  Since I have normal skin, this worked just fine as a moisturizer.  It's light and not too oily and it has a slight pleasant scent that disappears after applying.  Also, your face doesn't feel greasy after applying it so it's light enough to use under makeup.  The gel cream feels very similar to the emulsion, so maybe there's no point in getting this gel cream if you already have the emulsion.  Probably, better to get the cream instead of the gel cream.  Overall, the gel cream is good for people with normal skin, but don't expect to see any huge improvements.
